The Johnstone Mausoleum

Situated in Alva Cemetery, Alva, Clackmannanshire, the Johnstone Mausoleum was designed by Robert and James Adam for John Johnstone of Alva House, to house his family memorials. This is one of the best mausolea in Scotland and is believed to be one of the earliest examples of the renaissance of the Greek Doric Order in Europe. It is now the only building within the cemetery since the demolition of St Serf's Church in 1985.
