Duirinish Railway Station

A remote halt on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line, Duirinish Railway Station (Gael: Diùranais) is located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west northwest of Duirinish and 1½ miles (2.5 km) west of Achnandarach in Highland. This station was opened in 1897 on the Dingwall & Skye Railway. Now operated by ScotRail, Duirinish Railway Station is unstaffed and was used by only 620 passengers in 2009-10. This request-stop comprises a single platform serving a single-track line. It is preceded by Plockton Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the northeast, and followed by Kyle of Lochalsh, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) to the south southwest.
