Sound of Islay

The Sound of Islay is the name given to the stretch of water that separates the island of Islay from the island of Jura, Argyll and Bute. At its narrowest point a car ferry crosses from Feolin Ferry on Jura to Port Askaig on Islay. To the northwest of the sound lies the settlement of Bunnahabhainn and Bunnahabhainn Bay.
