Bluemull Sound

A channel separating the Shetland islands of Yell and Unst, Bluemull Sound extends north - south and is ¾ mile (1.25 km) in width. A vehicle ferry crosses the sound at its southern end joining Gutcher and Belmont, while also providing a service to the island of Fetlar, which lies 4 miles (6.5 km) to the south southeast. The island of Linga lies in the sound.
