Sound of Berneray

The Sound of Berneray is the name given to the stretch of sea in the Western Isles that separates the island of Berneray from North Uist to the south. The Sound is now divided by the Berneray Causeway, which was opened by HRH Prince Charles in 1999. The island of Torogay lies in the eastern section of the Sound.
