Levenish


(Leibhinis, Stac Levenish)

An isolated islet which is the southernmost of the St. Kilda group, Levenish (also Stac Levenish, Gael: Leibhinis) lies 38 miles (61 km) west northwest of North Uist in the Western Isles and 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Hirta. Rising steeply to 62m (203 feet) above sea level and extending to 2.4 ha (6 acres) in size, it is a haunt for seabirds.
