Greenside Hill

Greenside Hill rises to 447m (1466 feet) within the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park in North Ayrshire. Its complex summit is located 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Kilbirnie and 4½ miles (7 km) east of Largs. On the 28th March 1956, a Douglas Dakota DC-3 aircraft crashed here while approaching the former Renfrew Airport after a flight from Lourdes. One member of the crew was killed.
