St Andrews Museum (Kinburn House)

Located in Kinburn House on Doubledykes Road in St. Andrews (Fife), the museum explores the history of the town from Mediaeval to modern times. Kinburn House, which was named after a Crimean War battle, was built in 1855 by Sir David Buddo after he retired from the Indian Medical Service. The house and surrounding park were eventually bought by St. Andrews Town Council in 1920 and the museum was opened in 1991. The museum is now operated by Fife Council.
