Located on the southern shores of the Dornoch Firth, the Whiteness Sands are a vast expanse of sandy beach that extends from the settlement of Tain east to Inver Bay. The sands extend seaward to encircle the islands of Innis Mhor, Innis Bheag and several smaller islets.
