Victoria Park

Located in the west end of Glasgow City, Victoria Park was opened to the public in 1886, the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, as part of the lands associated with the Burgh of Partick. It was incorporated into the city in 1911 when Partick was made part of Glasgow. Occupying an area of 24 ha (58 acres) the park includes the internationally known Fossil Grove, together with a pond for model boats, bowling greens, curling rinks, tennis courts and an orienteering course.
