A rolling summit on the edge of a moorland plateau in South Ayrshire, later occupied by the Arecleoch Forest, Eldridge Hill rises to 240m (787 feet) 4½ miles (7 km) east of Ballantrae. Scurran Glen descends steeply to the northwest while the Arecleoch Wind Farm extends south from here.
