A rolling summit on a upland plateau in South Ayrshire, Peat Hill rises to 232m (761 feet) 5½ miles (9 km) southwest of Barrhill. The hill lies within the Arecleoch Forest, although considerable sections have been cleared to build the Arecleoch Wind Farm, including one turbine close to the summit.
