Calder Water

The Calder Water rises as the Calder Burn and joins the Avon Water from the west, at a point a half-mile (1 km) east of Caldermill and 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Strathaven, having followed a course of 5 miles (8 km). It should not be confused with a more notable Calder Water, also in South Lanarkshire, which forms the Rotten Calder and is a tributary of the River Clyde.
