Glentrool ForestStretching from the northern part of Galloway Forest Park, Dumfries and Galloway to the Carrick area of South Ayrshire, Glentrool Forest is centred around Glen Trool and offers forest trails, picnic sites and camp sites for visitors. The settlement of Newton Stewart is located 11 miles (18 km) to the south.
