Asknish House
(Lochgair House)

A fine 18th C. Palladian mansion in Argyll and Bute, Asknish (or Lochgair) House is located at the head of Loch Gair, a western spur of Loch Fyne, a mile (1.5 km) northeast of the settlement of Lochgair. It is B-listed and occupies the site of a castle of the Campbells of Auchinbreck, who had sold the estate to the MacIver Campbells of Asknish in 1768. Loch Glashan lies a mile (1.5 km) to the northwest.
