Cnoc an Fhreiceadain

A steep hill overlooking Tongue Bay on the north coast of Sutherland, Cnoc an Fhreiceadain rises to 307m (1007 feet) 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Tongue. In 2004, television presenter Jeremy Clarkson controversially drove a Landrover Discovery across the heather moorland to the top of this hill to demonstrate its off-road capabilities on the BBC programme Top Gear, provoking the ire of environmentalists. The ascent was via the neighbouring Ben Tongue.
