Greenbank

A district of S Edinburgh, Greenbank lies to the west of Comiston Road, between Morningside and Oxgangs, 3 miles (5 km) south southwest of the city centre. The area was first developed in 1887, extended in 1907 and completed in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Greenbank Parish Church, on the opposite side of Comiston Road, dates from 1927. The residential redevelopment of the former City Hospital has become known as Greenbank Village.
