Inglismaldie

A house in the Howe of the Mearns, SE Aberdeenshire, Inglismaldie lies close to the River North Esk and the border between Aberdeenshire and Angus, 4 miles (6.5 km) west of Marykirk. Built in the late 16th Century, it was erected on the church lands of St Maldie which were acquired in 1635 by Sir John Carnegie, Sheriff of Forfar and Earl of Northesk. The original Eccles Maldie, or Chapel of St Maldie, was replaced by a 19th-century extension to the house.
