Carnan Mor

The highest point on the Inner Hebridean island of Tiree, Carnan Mor is the most northerly of the two summits of Ben Hynish which rises to 141m (462 feet) in the southwest of the island. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49 and a golfball-shaped radar-tracking station was also built here in the mid-1980s and is now operated by the National Air Traffic Service (NATS).
