A rocky islet off The Keen on the east coast of the Shetland Mainland, Stany Hog lies next to Hog Island, from which it is separated by a narrow channel, at the northern end of South Nesting Bay. The settlement of Kirkabister is located a mile (1.5 km) to the west.
