Beasts of Holm

(Biastan Thuilm)

The Beasts of Holm (Gael: Biastan Thuilm) are rocks lying to the south of Holm Point, to the northeast of the entrance to Stornoway Harbour, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of the town Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides. These rocks were responsible for the Iolaire Tragedy in 1919, which killed 205. They are now marked by a light.
