Located to the east of Bridge of Orchy in Argyll and Bute Council Area, Beinn an Dothaidh is a continuation northwards of a ridge from Beinn Dorain. Its summit at 1004m (3294 feet) is on a flat plateau and its name is derived from the Gaelic for "hill of the scorching".
