Meall nan Tarmachan

Located on National Trust for Scotland Land, north of Killin in Perth and Kinross, Meall nan Tarmachan is the tallest peak in the Tarmachan range, the other three summits of Meall Garby, Beinn nan Eachan and Creag na Caillich are smaller in height. Rising to a height of 1044m (3425 feet) this peak has smooth grassy slopes, unlike many of the surrounding fells. Its name originates from Gaelic and means "hill of the ptarmigan".
