Rullion Green BattlefieldA location on the eastern slopes of Turnhouse Hill on the eastern edge of the Pentland Hills, a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Penicuik, Rullion Green was the scene of a battle in 1666 at which a force of Covenanters were defeated by General Sir Thomas Dalyell (1615-85).
