Jeansfield Recreation Ground

A park situated on Jeanfield Road in Perth, a mile (1.4 km) west northwest of the city centre, Jeansfield Recreation Ground extends over the western side of Wells Hill. The football pitch here was the home of Perth Celtic until their withdrawal from Junior football in the 1990s, Kinnoull (until 1984) and the Jeanfield Swifts. A war memorial, erected by local residents to remember "Our Ain Lads" is located in the park at the end of Hawarden Terrace. It is unusual in that it commemorates those who fell in the First World War, but was never updated to include those lost in the Second World War.
