A fine bow-fronted house set in extensive grounds between Isla Road and Pitcullen Crescent, a half-mile (1 km) northeast of the centre of Perth, Kincarrathie House was the home whisky baron and philanthropist of A.K. Bell (1868 - 1942). It now serves as a residential care home for the elderly, with 44 en-suite bedrooms. It is run by the Kincarrathie Trust, the house and grounds having been gifted by Bell's wife Camilla. Beginning as a plain house, comprising two storeys and an attic, in the 18th C., it was extended to the southeast in 1854, with other additions including the bow-front, a Roman Doric portico and a conservatory, together with further additions in relation to its current use.
Nearby are a former chapel (c.1694), a remarkable Arts-and-Crafts style cricket pavilion (1925) and Kincarrathie Doo'cot (1694), all B-listed for their architectural or historical importance.
