A large cairn marking a barrow on the southeastern slopes of Choinneachain Hill, King Kenneth's Cairn (Gael: Carn Choinneachain, also Carn Chainichin) lies a mile (1.5 km) east of Loch Turret Reservoir in W Perth and Kinross. The cairn in 18m (59 feet) in diameter and reaches a height of 1.2m (4 feet). This cairn is said to commemorate King Kenneth III and his son Giric, who both died in 1005 at the Battle of Monzievaird which took place nearby.
