An eastern district of Stirling, Springkerse is located on flat-lying land on the southern bank of the River Forth, a half-mile (1 km) east southeast of the town centre. Located here are Springkerse Industrial Estate, Springkerse Retail Park, Stirling Sports Village (including Forthbank Stadium) and St. Modans High School. The name comes from a farm which once lay to the north of the A905 road.
