A pair of small uninhabited riverine islands within the River Tay at Perth, The Stanners lie immediately downstream of Smeaton's Bridge, opposite the eastern termination of the High Street. An earlier bridge crossed the northern part of the island and the footings of what may have been a Mediaeval bridge were discovered by archaeologists in 1982. The islands are tree-covered but are subject to regular inundation at times of flood.
