Fingal's Stone

Located in a field above Killin Primary School (Stirling Council Area), Fingal's Stone is said to mark the grave of the mythical Celtic hero Fingal, Fionn mac Cumhaill or Finn McCool. The stone stands 0.8m (2¾ feet) in height and is thought to have been brought down from further up the hill, because visitors were damaging the crops which surrounded it, and re-erected here in the 19th Century, with a smaller stone fixed to the top.
