A mountain in the E Grampians, Carn a' Gheoidh rises to a height of 975m (3198 feet) to the west of The Cairnwell, on the border between Aberdeenshire and Perth and Kinross Council Areas. Spittal of Glenshee is 4 miles (7 km) to the south. Its name is derived from the Gaelic for "hill of the goose".
