Dean Burn

A stream of the N Scottish Borders, the Dean Burn forms as the confluence of the Fairydean Burn and the Whitelaw Burn, a half-mile (1 km) west of Eddleston. The burn flows southeast through a little gorge called The Dean, as it passes Barony Castle. The Dean Burn falls into the Eddleston Water just to the south of Eddleston, having completed a course of barely ¾ mile (1.2 km).
