Jubilee Flower Park

(King George V Park)

Lying between King Harald Street and St. Olaf Street in Lerwick (Shetland), the Jubilee Flower Park (also known as the King George V Park) occupies two blocks separated by King Erik Street. Maintained by Shetland Islands Council, the park offers a peaceful sanctuary amongst a colourful display of flowers and shrubs. Sports facilities in the southern section of the park include a tennis court, putting green and bowling green. A fine pavilion was provided in 2003, replacing the previous structure which had fallen into disrepair. This provides a clubhouse for the bowling club, kiosk, a meeting room and public toilets.
