A small elongated reservoir, one of many which lie on the slopes above Greenock in Inverclyde, Overton Reservoir (also Overton Basin Reservoir) is located a mile (1.5 km) south southwest of the town centre. Impounded by earth embankments, it is associated with the Greenock Cut. It is operated by Scottish Water.
