Hotel, Beach Boulevard, Aberdeen

A half-mile (0.8-km) length of dual carriageway in Aberdeen, Beach Boulevard connects the city centre with Aberdeen Esplanade. The road cuts across Queen's Links and represents a transition from the formality of the city centre to the entertainment focus of the Aberdeen Bay area. Leisure facilities such as the Beach Leisure Centre and Codona's Amusement Park lie at the eastern end of the Boulevard. Since the 1960s, Beach Boulevard has been associated with 'bully bashers' a controversial group of young people intent in showing off their modified vehicles by constantly cruising back and forth along the road.
