Sheddocksley Sports Centre is located on Springhill Road between the Mastrick and Sheddocksley areas of W Aberdeen, on the very edge of the city, 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest of the centre. Northfield lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast. Facilities include a full-sized multi-use sports hall (which can be configured for five-a-side football, badminton, basketball, netball and volleyball), a gym, fitness studio and two glass-backed squash courts. Outside are several football and hockey pitches, with a pavilion providing a changing area. Sheddocksley Sports Centre also provides popular exercise classes. It is run by Sport Aberdeen, a charitable trust which manages sports and leisure facilities on behalf of Aberdeen City Council.
