Mill Burn

A stream which emerges from the western end of Linlithgow Loch in West Lothian, between Jock's Hill and Colt Hill, Mill Burn once powered a substantial paper mill before falling into the Mains Burn immediately to the north of the present-day Avalon Gardens. Loch Mill opened in 1808 and operated until the mid-1980s but is now lost beneath a housing estate. This stream is barely a half-mile (0.8 km) in length.
