Longcroft Hall

Located on Philip Avenue in the West Port area of Linlithgow (West Lothian), a half-mile (0.8 km) west of the town centre, Longcroft Hall is a modest building with Gothic touches and a small porch on the west of the front. It was built as an infant school in 1869, and in many ways is a typical school building of the time. It is perhaps more interesting as the first home of Linlithgow Academy between its foundation in 1894 and 1902. The hall takes its name from Longcroft House and estate, on which it lies, and now serves as the hall for the nearby St. Ninian's Craigmailen Church.
