A tributary of the Woodhall Burn rising on the northeast slopes of Watch Law in the Lammermuir Hills of East Lothian, Steel Cleugh flows north northeast to merge with Boonslie Burn to the east of Blaik Law. The narrow valley through which it flows (also called Steel Cleugh) is occupied by semi-natural woodland.
