Murrayshall Hill

A modest summit in Perth & Kinross, Murrayshall Hill has several summits, the loftiest of which rises to 279m (915 feet) 2 miles (3 km) east of Scone. This summit is marked by an obelisk known as the Lynedoch Monument, dating from 1850 and commemorating Thomas Graham (1748 - 1843), 1st Lord Lynedoch, who fought alongside Wellington in the Peninsular War and lived nearby at Murrayshall. This lies on top of a cairn, some 6.4m (21 feet) in diameter. To the west is McDuff's Monument.
