Railway Glen

A small wooded valley extending west from the lower slopes of Killoeter in E Argyll and Bute, the enigmatically named Railway Glen is located to the east of Camis Eskan House, a mile (1.4 km) east of Craigendoran. The railway never ran here but it appears that the name derives from the existence of a small reservoir built to supply water to the steam locomotives while they sat at Craigendoran railway station.
