A modest lens-shaped summit which represents a foothill of the Pentland Hills in S Edinburgh, Torgeith Knowe rises to 200m (656 feet) overlooking the A720 Edinburgh Bypass, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west northwest of the historic village of Swanston.
