Cruise Back Fell

A modest summit on the eastern side of Glen Luce in W Dumfries and Galloway, Cruise Fell rises to approximately 133m (436 feet) behind Cruise Fell, 1½ miles (2.5 km) south of New Luce. A hill-fort occupies the rocky plateau which is its summit. Approximately 48m (157 feet) by 25m (82 feet), it comprises two enclosures surrounded by stone walls which are now reduced to rubble, no-where more than 1.5m (5 feet) in height. The entrance is on the west side of the lower enclosure.
