Beinn a' Bha'ach Ard


(Ben Vachart, Beinn a' Bhathaich Ard, Beinn a' Bhàthaich Àrd)

A Corbett peak of the North West Highlands, Beinn a' Bha'ach Ard (Beinn a' Bhathaich Ard or Ben Vachart) rises to 862m (2827 feet) between Glen Orrin and Glen Strathfarrar, 10 miles (16 km) west southwest of Beauly. The summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49 for the re-triangulation of Great Britain. The Orrin Reservoir lies 3 miles (5 km) to the north.
