Caolas an Duin

A narrow channel separating the islands of Hirta and Dun in the St. Kilda archipelago, Caolas an Duin is barely 20m (65 feet) in width and can be crossed over rocks at high tide. 50-m (160-foot) high cliffs run alongside the channel. In the historical past this channel did not exist and the two islands were joined.
