Birkenside Hill

A flat-topped summit in the Scottish Borders, Birkenside Hill rises to just beyond 240m (787 feet) a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of Birkenside and 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Legerwood. Overlooking the Leader Water to the west, there is an ancient monument on its summit, variously described as a pit alignment or fort. This appears as distinct crop marks within an arable field.
