Lying next to the River Don on Mugiemoss Road, immediately to the southeast of Persley Bridge in N Aberdeen, the Persley Walled Garden is a neatly landscaped formal garden maintained by Aberdeen City Council. Opened in 1994, It features herbaceous borders, ornamental iron-work and a fountain. Also located here is the Workers Memorial, dedicated to those who have lost their lives in industry. This comprises a black granite pillar, commissioned by Aberdeen Trades Council and unveiled in 1997.
