Burn o' Vat Visitor Centre

The Burn o' Vat Visitor Centre is located on the B9199 road, a half-mile (0.8 km) west of Loch Kinord and 2 miles (3 km) west northwest of Dinnet. Opened by the Nature Conservancy Council for Scotland in 1984 and refurbished in 2012, the Centre occupies an old cottage, which served as a tea-room from 1972. It now provides interpretation of the joint attractions of The Vat and the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve, together with features associated with the latter such the Kinord Cross. It also provides an office for the Ranger Service and is the starting point for way-marked trails around these attractions. There is a car park, toilet and picnic facilities.
