Whinnyknowe

A residential district of Glenrothes (Fife), Whinnyknowe lies a half-mile (0.8 km) east northeast of Leslie and 1¼ miles (2 km) northwest of Glenrothes town centre. The name Whinnyhill Plantation appears on the First Edition of the Ordnance Survey map of 1856. The street names of Whinnyknowe are a combination of the titles of John Buchan novels (Greenmantle and Huntingtower) and districts of Edinburgh (Granton, Holyrood and Liberton).
