A small residential district of Glenrothes in Fife, Formonthills is located 1½ miles (2.5 km) northwest of the town centre. Formonthills Woodland extends over the southeastern slopes of Rhind Hill to the north. The Woodland Trust has planted 80,000 trees with the help of the local community, and there are also wildflower meadows and areas of wetland areas. Circular walks offer visitors fine views.
